Webster Cellars 2012 Left Bank Proprietary Red
With esteemed pleasure we present a wine normally allocated 100% to the Webster Cellars private member list. This wine has sold out its previous two vintages and continues to amasse critical acclaim. Keith Webster is an award winning winemaker possessing artistic talent and the sense of humor to take it all in stride.
To understand why this wine sells out every year, look no further than your glass. The eyes tell the brain what is in store with the deep luxurious red, almost purple color. The intense bouquet of black cherry, plum, cedar, anise and rose petal are profound and spill from the glass. Experience flavors of chocolate covered cherries, leather, cinnamon, clove and espresso. The old-world alcohol level and balanced acidity are present and desirable. It finishes fruit forward with firm tannins. It is said wine is a living thing and this wine exemplifies that as it actively evolves over time. The wine was decanted one hour before writing these tasting notes, but changed over subsequent hours. Even the next day it tasted like a completely different wine--superb in every aspect. ~Tasting notes by Cellar Angels' Chief Operating Angel, Denise Cody
