Italics Winegrowers 2010 "Fifteen Appellations" Red Blend Tasting Notes:
This is such a unique concept, with fruit from every Napa sub-appellation in a single bottle! A luxurious, opaque, deep red in color, this approachable Meritage (Merit + Heritage) blend is very well balanced, leading with fresh dark cherry, ripe red plum and cassis. The breadth of aromas grows as the wine opens, where you’ll find hints of vanilla, cocoa, cedar and a kiss of dried violet. Medium-full bodied and silky on the palate, the oak is well-integrated and the balanced acidity adds freshness. Tannins have a nice, lengthy grip without overpowering. Great wine for now with a bit of decanting – or for cellaring over the next 5-10 years. ~Tasting Notes by Carrie Schuster, Chief Marketing Angel
