Founded in 1979, Michel-Schlumberger Benchland Wine Estate is an all organic wine estate. Considered by many to be one of Sonoma County’s “first-growth” estate wineries, their award winning tours and mission-styled winery have long been draws for wine country visitors. In their role as a certified “Fish Friendly Farm”, a Wildlife & Bird Sanctuary, and CCOF recognition with the 2010 crop, Michel-Schlumberger has long been at the forefront of sustainable farming and eco-friendly farming practices.
This is the story of a Dallas waiter turned Napa Valley Winemaker. Jason Moore's passion for wine began as he waited tables in various fine dining establishments in Dallas, Texas. Pursuing that passion took a monumental leap when he and his wife sold everything and moved to California in 2002. Jason learned how to make wine the hard way, hands on, literally practicing his winemaking skills from a garage with free grapes given to him.
Monticello Vineyards, owned by the Corley family in Napa Valley, is proud to be a family owned and managed winery. Founder Jay Corley came to Napa Valley in 1969 seeking land to plant and grow an estate vineyard. Forty plus years later, sons Kevin, Chris and Stephen manage the winery. Kevin is the Winegrower and President, Chris is the Winemaker, and Stephen, Director of Wine Sales. Monticello Vineyards is a small winery producing limited quantity artisan wines.
Mulvane Wine Company
Blessed with an Italian-American heritage, Rocco Califano was exposed to winemaking at an early age. For centuries the family led an agrarian life in the region of Campania, Italy where grapes for the market also became vino della casa. Salvatore Califano came to the New World seeking opportunity for his craft as a bespoke tailor. His profession aside, Salvatore brought along some traditions from back home.
