Featured Spring Release: Passaggio Wines

2016 "Passion" White Blend
25% Roussanne, 25% Grenache Blanc, 25% Sauvignon Blanc, 17% Chardonnay, 8% Viognier
Tasting Notes: This is a dry white wine blend showcasing aromas of citrus, pear and apple. Flavors of white peach, guava, and citrus lead to a crisp and refreshing finish making this a lovely wine for the beach, boat or back deck.

2015 "Connect" Red Blend
Coplan Vineyards, Sonoma County, CA
69% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot
Tasting Notes: Fresh and expressive with cherry, black berry, blueberry, dusty road, mocha. Graphite notes, hints of flowers with clove and fresh herbs. Balanced acidity and tannins. A Passaggio Wines tasting room favorite.

2016 Pinot Noir
Black Knight Vineyards, Sonoma Coast, CA
Tasting Notes: Cherry, cranberry, and slight tangerine dance in the glass framed with notes of spice, clove, and bay leaf. Silky structure and earth tones with nice acidity. Elegant and food-friendly.

2015 Merlot
Coplan Vineyards, Sonoma County, CA
Tasting Notes: Lush and compelling with predominate notes of blackberry, black cherry and spiced plum, this beautifully structured wine also reveals a hint of dried herbs, cherry, tobacco, and leather. Chewy tannins lend to a balanced acidity and long finish. A "must-have" Merlot.

2015 GSM Red Blend (Library Club only)
Sonoma County, CA
44% Grenache, 44% Syrah, 12% Mourvedre
Tasting Notes: A fragrant wine, bursting with a complex arrangement of red and black berries, plum and floral spicy notes supported by aromatic undertones of rosemary, earthy tones, spice cola, black pepper, thyme, and a long finish. A beautiful red blend of Heringer Estates fruit along with Syrah from Clarksburg and Fieldsa Vineyards, Sonoma County. This is a stunning example of a Rhone-style wine with an American touch.

2015 Petit Verdot (Library Club only)
Hux Vineyard, Lodi, CA
Tasting Notes: A variety often used for blending, this stand alone single varietal Petite Verdot shows gorgeous depth and structure on its own. It is intensely layered with plum, dark cherry, blueberry, hints of spice, cocoa, violets and sage along with earthy notes and balanced tannins. Big, bold and very small production.
