Just a few years ago the Viszlay family fulfilled their dream of owning a winery. John Viszlay uprooted his life and relocated to Russian River Valley where Viszlay Vineyards was born in 2009.
The beautiful and thriving 10 acre estate vineyard is located in the northern end of the Russian River Valley, south of Alexander Valley and east of the historic Dry Creek Valley and a short drive to Healdsburg and Windsor. Cool nights and morning fog influence prove the vineyard with ideal climate for producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It is as diverse as it is picturesque with 12 varietals grown on their property including all Bordeaux varietals, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Prosecco. John's children are helping with the family business.
The team at Viszlay Vineyards practices sustainable farming methods and embraces the traditional wine making styles that produce soft, elegant and balanced wines. Their wines are produced in small lots and are currently available exclusively through the winery and our wine club. The art and science of wine making come together through our passion, which they hope you’ll enjoy in each bottle.
Just a mile away from Rodney Strong and with neighbors including Christopher Creek Winery Limerick Lane Cellars, Merriam, ACORN, Foppiano and others, Viszlay is part of a great wine community that sticks together and offers a great diversity of wines and experiences.
Viszlay Vineyards is also part of the Global Partners For Development's Vineyards 2 Villages campaign providing clean water and sanitation infrastructure to communities in Africa.
