Fall Release - September 2019

About Schweiger Vineyards: Family owned and operated Schweiger Vineyards is located on Spring Mountain at an elevation of 2,000 feet above the fog line. Its rich volcanic soils and unique microclimates are particularly favorable for growing Cabernet Sauvignon.
For the first 10 years, the Schweigers sold their renowned fruit to Joe Cafaro, ZD, Newton and Stags Leap Winery. In 1994, Schweiger Vineyards began bottling wine under their own label under the direction of son Andrew Schweiger. In 1999 they began to focus solely on winemaking for Schweiger Vineyards.
The Schweigers are very conscious of their carbon footprint and utilize sustainable practices in their farming. “Sustainability is finding that balance between our environment and us.” Practices include: leaving large trees in place, hand-dug wells and natural springs for watering, solar panels for electricity, terracing of the vineyards, and composting.
