A very exciting offer for our members only! With a case (12 bottle) purchase of Maroon Wines 2014 Reserve Merlot you'll enjoy a VIP tasting and personalized tour of the breathtaking Maroon Vineyards grounds. Bring 5 friends and relax in true Napa Valley style!
Another beautiful wine from our friend Paul Maroon! Made of 100% Merlot from 33 year-old vines, this Reserve bottling shows off a deep garnet red, nearly opaque core. The aromas are enticing and somewhat subtle, with spicy, fresh, red and black cherry fruits, hints of vanilla and a touch of dried herbs, red licorice and cinnamon. The palate is round and silky, with spicy red fruit notes, medium tannic grip and a mouthwatering acidity. A perfect pairing option for your roasted chicken, pork tenderloin or grilled lamb chops!

About the Winemaker:
Paul Maroon became interested in winemaking over 40 years ago while as a young man helping his uncle make wine in Pennsylvania. In the back of his mind he always knew that for him Napa Valley was the place to be. Paul visited as often as possible throughout the years and finally in 2000 realized his dream and relocated to the Napa Valley. Here he began his life as a vintner and married his beautiful wife, Reneé in September of 2013. Paul has been growing grapes and making fine wines ever since.
The Merlot for this Reserve bottling comes from a friend's 33 year-old vineyard in the Napa Valley. The climate of the vineyard is quite similar to the region of Bordeaux, France.

General Food Pairing Suggestions:
Merlots are fairly versatile when it comes to food pairings and adaptable to wide range of dishes due to its smoother texture and tannins. Explore pairing with grilled meats, roasted turkey or lamb, firm cheeses and dishes prepared with mushrooms, veal stock, mustard or tomato sauces and red wine reductions.
