Tasting Notes:

A brilliant, radiant gold in color. Aromas of ripe Anjou pear, key lime, marzipan and crème brulée. The palate showcases a clean crispness with lemon citrus flavors. A full, but fresh mouth-feel reflects the 100% barrel fermentation with no malolactic fermentation. The finish is orange zest, which lingers on and on.

...“The ’08 Ceja chardonnay retains a creamy, rich mouthfeel that is downright luxurious. Layers of coconut, vanilla and honeycrisp apple, with even hints of lemon zest and pear. The one word I kept thinking of was “classy”, which describes how I felt while drinking the wine and how it approaches the palate. Overall a superb effort.” -Beau Carufel, Beau’s Barrel Room wine blog.
