Andy Jones and Tomas Brown
About the Winemaker:
Born and raised in Jackson, Wyoming, Andy's early restaurant experience led him to San Francisco and the California Culinary Academy, where he majored in hospitality and restaurant management. Following graduation, Andy helped open Solage Resort in Calistoga as assistant food and beverage manager. While he was there, he met Winemaker Thomas Brown, and ultimately went to work for Thomas in 2008 at his Black Sears facility in Angwin. Thomas was Tamber Bey’s founding winemaker and is now consulting winemaker. Andy joined the winemaking team at Sundance Ranch as assistant winemaker to Thomas when the facility opened in 2013. He was promoted to director of winery operations in 2015 and to winemaker in 2017.
Rancho Coyote Vineyard
About the Vineyard:
Rancho Coyote is a 7 acre estate vineyard located on the eastern side of the Russian River Valley Appellation. The west facing, gently rolling hillside site is planted with seven clones of Pinot Noir. The blending of these clones and the unique site are what give this wine its unique foundation.edit  content
Additional Winemaker Notes:
This wine’s bright purple color is eye catching. The rose petal dominant nose also delivers aromas of white blossom, currant, white pepper, citrus rind and cherry cola. The flavor profile layers high toned notes of cherry, cranberry and Fuji apple with nuances of crushed gravel and white pepper. The tannins are light, bright and approachable. The finish is clean, with pleasant acidity, which will lengthen with aging.

Food-friendly wines like Pinot Noir pair well with a range of dishes, including salmon, tuna and other oily fish, mild sausages, duck, quail, pork and lamb.
