Lampyridae Vineyards is the highest vineyard on Mt. Veeder, resting at 2,500 feet above the Napa Valley floor. High above the fog layer, the cooler days and warmer nights yield ideal ripening conditions for mountain Reds. The combination of elevation and volcanic ash soils results in low yields and produces wines of incredible complexity.
The vineyards are composed of 10 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, 1 acre of Cabernet Franc, 1 acre of Syrah, 1 acre of Grenache, 1 acre of Zinfandel and a half acre of Petit Verdot. Lampyridae Vineayrds sources fruit to Beringer Vineyards, Fontanella Family Winery, Handwritten and Kind Cellars.
