Tasting Notes:
- Color: dark inky purple
- Aromas: Dark cherry with a hint of chocolate and vanilla while having a light hint of earthy oak
- Palate: Intense dark tart cherry and vanilla upfront. The mid palate has the Stagecoach earthiness and volcanic influence that is strong. A long lingering finish of tannic tart cherries and chocolate with a hint of earthiness and oak.

Winemaker:
Chad Angelo
About the Winemaker:
With an emphasis on Cabernet Sauvignon and the occasional Syrah or Zinfandel, Chad’s passion is red wine. Embracing a growing season that changes each year, Chad doesn't strive for larger productions with a consistent style every year, but on making a special wine that is unique to each vintage.
Watch the video below to learn more about Winemaker Chad Angelo and his wine portfolio and vineyard sources.
Vineyard:
Same vineyard source as the previously offered Angelo Cellars 2013, 2014 and 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon
About the Vineyard:
As the saying goes, location, location, location! This famed vineyard, perhaps one of the most sought after vineyards in Napa Valley, is the fruit source for this little hidden gem. It was recently purchased by Gallo for $180M, which means the fabulous small lot wines previously hand-crafted from this vineyard by producers like Blackbird, Pahlmeyer, Aaron Pott's private label and of course, Angelo Cellars, may go away once their contracts expire. So we say, be in the moment and enjoy it while you can.
Additional Winemaker Notes:
Copper and Tiffany blue in color with a space star configuration on the bottle. Bottles are silk screened/ no paper label.

Food Pairing Suggestions:
This full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is meant for food pairings that match its body and aromatic characteristics. If paired properly, it can produce the meal of a lifetime. With its depth of acid and tannins, it will pair well with fattier meats like beef steaks, beef and pork roasts, venison, lamb and hamburgers. Experiment with mushroom dishes and meals seasoned with herbs and pepper. Hard cheeses are a nice compliment too.
