Tasting Notes:

This is a newly released wine from White Rock Vineyards and available only to their Wine Club members. For this exclusive offer, White Rock Vineyards makes the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon available to Cellar Angels members.

This Cabernet presents itself with a rich, dark garnet color. Aromas of soft berry, earth, and chocolate dance in the glass. A round mouth-feel balances spices, vanilla, blackberry, tobacco and mineral. The finish is long with lingering tannic structure. This wine exhibits the embodiment of a Napa Cabernet.

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Lamb, pork, sausage, grilled meats, stews, and game will all pair beautifully with this wine. Dishes with black olives, black pepper, pungent herbs, and mushrooms will also complement nicely. Look for recipes where power is combined with elegance to mirror this wine’s style.
About the Winery
White Rock Vineyards Situated in a small valley in the southern foothills of the Stag’s Leap Range, White Rock Vineyards’ family-run estate began making wine in the 1870’s. The winery is located underground in the caves that were bored in 1988, one of the first winery caves dug since the 1800’s. Volcanic ash soils, mature hillside vines, a cooler climate, varied exposures, and the caves make these wines complex and concentrated with a mineral character that expresses the earth itself.
