Tasting Notes:

This wine always delivers, year after year. If you were fortunate enough to acquire the 2012 when it was featured, open a bottle next to this one and taste Mother Nature's influence on different vintages.

This vintage is a pretty dark red/burgundy in color. The aromas entice with sweet red fruit and tobacco at first and then fade to eucalyptus and forest floor. On the palate engage in harmonious flavors of cranberry, plum, caramel and cedar with a hint of earthiness. It finishes with soft integrated tannins. You'll want more than 1 bottle, I promise.

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Pair with beef, especially grilled, roasted or stewed, or braised dishes like lamb or venison. Game meats all pair wonderfully with this wine as do dishes with eggplant, mushrooms or pungent herbs. Also pair hard aromatic cheeses like Roquefort, Blue and Camembert varietals.
About the Winery
Viszlay Vineyards Just a few years ago the Viszlay family fulfilled their dream of owning a winery. John Viszlay uprooted his life and relocated to Russian River Valley where Viszlay Vineyards was born. A stunningly beautiful and thriving 10 acre vineyard, it is as diverse as it is picturesque, with 12 varietals grown on their property including Prosecco. Learn more
