Tasting Notes:

Full-bodied, with a deep garnet color, this wine showcases lush aromas of dark fruit – blackberry and black raspberry – complimented by notes of black pepper, dried herbs and subtle toasted oak. Rich and concentrated fruit on the palate, with loads of spicy dark fruit and a hint of anise. Acidity is mouth-watering and tannins are prominent, both of which will help this Syrah age beautifully over the next several years.

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Syrah, also known as Shiraz in Australia, is known for its spicy, earthy and dark fruit notes. Try this medium to full-bodied wine with roast leg of lamb, grilled sausages, barbecue ribs and burgers, seared tuna steaks and mushroom or earthy-based dishes. Gouda, sharp Cheddar and Smokey Bleu cheeses will all taste delicious when complimented by a sip of Syrah.
