The essence of Coombsville is recognized by the typically soft but significant tannins, which provide excellent structure and mouthfeel, along with underlying layers of earth and mineral flavors. These Cabernet Sauvignons are often approachable yet sophisticated and layered but not at all simplistic.
This particular Coombsville wine appears in the glass with red edges and a deep purple center. Aromas of sweet fruit and spice entice. On the palate, a plethora of flavors; plum, black cherry, currant, cinnamon, black pepper, black tea, cigar box and caramel. The tannins are soft with an accent of cranberry on the finish.
