Sciandri Family Vineyards 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon
Sciandri Family Vineyards
Region: Coombsville, Napa Valley, CA

For those fortunate enough to have previously purchased the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon from Sciandri Family Vineyards, the reward has been astonishing. Long the clandestine grape source for stalwart Cabernet producers, Coombsville is quickly rivaling Napa's Stags Leap and Rutherford AVAs. This current release is 100% estate fruit from vineyards cared for with the soundest environmental protection practices. Please note, the Sciandri Family ages their wines at the winery to ensure they're immediately gratifying upon receipt.
A beautiful wine to inspect with its intense ruby red color. It possesses a vibrant nose with aromas of black and red fruits, rose petal, eucalyptus, earth and mocha. The palate is balanced with tame levels of alcohol making it ideal with food. Flavors of blackberry, plum, black cherry and currants are followed by minerality, spice, and that famous "Coombsville dirt". There is a lengthy medium-tannin finish with good structure and balanced acidity.
