Tasting Notes:

From the Sciandri family, originally of the small village of Quercia, Italy, comes this beautiful wine. Deep, sultry ruby in color, this powerful Cabernet takes some time to open up and show its true colors. This is one that should be decanted before enjoying and/or cellared to further increase its depth. Aromas of black licorice, stewed black and blue fruits along with damp earth and hearty herbs mingle with vanilla, espresso, and dark chocolate . On the palate this big, bold wine is brawny and elegant- the ideal Cab lover’s wine. Powerful tannins and alcohol are balanced with good acid levels and supple mouthfeel. Overall, this Cabernet Sauvignon is the perfect addition to a serious wine lover’s collection.

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Enjoy this big, powerful cabernet with beef, pasta with meat sauce. Lamb and hamburgers pair beautifully with this wine as do hard aged cheeses, mushroom dishes and dark chocolate.
