Cindy Cosco
About the Winemaker:
Following a 15-year career in Law Enforcement in Northern Virginia, Cindy Cosco moved to California to pursue her deep-rooted passion for winemaking in 2004. For the following three years, Cindy studied enology at Napa Valley College while she gained industry experience working wine retail, which led her to a full time position as Wine Chemist at Chateau St Jean. She decided it was time to make her own wine in 2007, where she partnered with custom crush facility, Crushpad. It was here she first launched Passaggio Wines with a mere 50 cases of Unoaked Chardonnay. Hired on as Winemaker at Crushpad in 2010, Cindy ran their white wine program through 2012, then parted ways to focus solely on building Passaggio Wines. You can now experience her very boutique collection – she makes only 1,700 cases each year – in beautiful downtown Sonoma.

Additional Winemaker Notes:
As Winemaker Cindy Cosco was tasting through barrels one afternoon she noticed that she had made three Italian reds from three regions in Italy. Teroldego from the Northern region, Sangiovese from the mid region, and Aglianico from the Southern region. “I did not do this on purpose” – she chuckled to herself.
This Passaggio Wines 2017 Rosso Italian Blend celebrates Cindy's Italian heritage.
