Tasting Notes:

Always appreciating the artistic liberty of producing blends, Cindy Cosco targeted Bordeaux for this bold wine. The label itself is a reminder of the grape blend: 45% Cabernet Franc, 36% Merlot and 19% inky Petite Verdot. The name "Connect" goes back to Cindy's family roots as wine always connects people around a table to share a meal and lively conversation.

A rich purple in color, this blend generates aromas of deep blackberry and blueberry fruits with warm vanilla notes and fresh fallen leaves. The palate is chock full of flavors, most notably spicy black cherry, plum, Italian herbs and cedar. The finish is long and backed by youthful tannins.

Cindy Cosco
About the Winemaker:
Following a 15-year career in Law Enforcement in Northern Virginia, Cindy Cosco moved to California to pursue her deep-rooted passion for winemaking in 2004. For the following three years, Cindy studied enology at Napa Valley College while she gained industry experience working wine retail, which led her to a full time position as Wine Chemist at Chateau St Jean. She decided it was time to make her own wine in 2007, where she partnered with custom crush facility, Crushpad. It was here she first launched Passaggio Wines with a mere 50 cases of Unoaked Chardonnay. Hired on as Winemaker at Crushpad in 2010, Cindy ran their white wine program through 2012, then parted ways to focus solely on building Passaggio Wines. You can now experience her very boutique collection – she makes only 1,700 cases each year – in beautiful downtown Sonoma.

Experiment with pairings including lamb roasted with herbes de Provence; traditional flank steak with herbed butter or chimichurri, cassoulet, or duck confit. Or just sip and relax in front of the fireplace!
