Tasting Notes:
The 2005 Meander, aka “the crowd pleaser”, is a powerful wine exhibiting layers of sweet fruit, rich chocolate and hints of minerality with a fleshy, lingering finish. The wine continues to increase in density and the licorice character intensifies as it ages in the bottle. The 2005 Meander is sourced from the Morisoli Vineyard in Rutherford and the Lewelling Vineyard in St. Helena. Both of these vineyards have been family farmed for generations and are two of the most sought after vineyards for hand-crafted Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley. Aged in 100% French Oak for 22 months, 75% of which is new.

Food Pairing Suggestions:
A big, bold, complex wine like this needs a dish that can stand up to its full body. Steak, grilled pork, hamburgers and pasta with meaty red sauce are all good pairings. Hard cheeses pair especially well with Cabernet, like aged Gouda and mild Blue cheeses.
