With a case (12 bottle) purchase of Maze Wines 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, please also enjoy a VIP cave wine tasting with Proprietor Paul McSharry for 4 guests.

Tasting Notes:
Very deep garnet-purple color and offers a vibrant black cherry, redcurrant and black berry-scented nose with an undercurrent of cassis, oolong tea, fragrant soil and bay leaves plus a waft of lilacs. The palate is full-bodied with a fantastically firm frame of ripe grainy tannins and amazing tension with the taut, muscular fruit, finishing very long and layered.

About the Winemaker:
Vineyard:
Stagecoach Vineyard, Napa Valley
About the Vineyard:
The Stagecoach Vineyard is one of the most iconic and important in all of Napa Valley. It recently changed hands, purchased in April 2017 by E. & J. Gallo Winery for $180 million. More than 90 top wineries including Chateau Montelena, Plumpjack and Quintessa have for decades relied on the prized fruit from Stagecoach for their Cabernet Sauvignon and other wines, but that may soon end, with Gallo’s potential decision not to renew purchasing contracts.
Additional Winemaker Notes:
One-hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon from the Stagecoach vineyard, aged in 100% new French oak
Accolades:
96 points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Food Pairing Suggestions:
This rich, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is meant for food pairings that match its body and aromatic characteristics. With its depth of acid and tannins, it will pair well with meats like beef steaks, beef and pork roasts, venison, lamb and hamburgers. Experiment with mushroom dishes and meals seasoned with herbs and pepper. Hard cheeses are a nice compliment as well.
