Maroon Wines 2009 "Chiles Valley" Zinfandel
Maroon Wines
Region: Napa Valley, CA

A big, bold, rich Zinfandel like this pairs so well with grilled meats, perfect for this time of year as we squeeze out the last drops of summer. This is definitely a fall-style wine great for cooler weather. You'll want to exchange your favorite beer for this Zin while watching football.
Chiles Valley is located in the far northeast corner of Napa Valley. It is Zinfandel growing weather there; warmer due to its distance from the influence of San Pablo Bay at the south end of the valley. This wine has well-balanced 14.5% alcohol and a spiciness that will compliment ribs perfectly. The palate also showcases blackberry, clove, black pepper, licorice, and mocha. While strong and powerful, it is at the same time balanced in tannins and finishes with a delicious candied fruit flavor.
