Tasting Notes:
From organically grown grapes comes this extraordinary Chardonnay. Previous vintages from Marketta's other wineries were served at the inauguration of President Bush and have been the most expensive white wines sold in the Napa Valley Wine Auction in the 1990’s. This elegant 2010 vintage from Napa Valley is aged in French oak and is layered, round and complex. Aromas of baked apple and buttery pear with hints of salinity and vanilla first greet the nose. After a bit of time in the glass, notes of toasty oak and vanilla bean emerge as well. On the palate this delectable Chardonnay is round, creamy and has a decent amount of acid, making it perfect to enjoy on its own or with food. This wine is truly a pleasure to enjoy.
