Tasting Notes:

A vibrant, deep red in color, this wine comes from two of the estate’s best barrels of the vintage! Aromas of blueberry pie, dark cherry and vanilla spice lead the charge, complimented by dried herbs, licorice and oaky notes. Rich and full bodied, this wine commands its presence on the palate, with a tannin and acid structure that will allow for 5-10 years of aging. Pair it with a grilled steak at your next cookout – or cellar it for many years of enjoyment!

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Give this Cabernet Franc a whirl with lean beef, veal and pasta dishes with meat sauce. Grill salmon, lamb chops and hamburgers will pair beautifully with this wine as do hard aged cheeses. Try with with mushroom risotto and dishes seasoned with savory herbs and olives.
About the Winery
Jax Vineyards This family owned and operated vineyard was purchased by David Jackson in 1996. The family sold grapes to other producers for many years until they started producing their own outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon from their prime Calistoga land. Calistoga would later become its own AVA (American Viticultural Area), now famous for its unique terroir-driven Cabernet Sauvignon. With the help of Kirk Venge, a renowned Napa Valley winemaker and one of the "top 26 winemakers in the world", Jax Vineyards now produces many different wine varieties and blends to satisfy all palates.
