Tasting Notes:

Specifically chosen for its reputation of producing some of the best Sauvignon Blanc in Napa Valley, Georges Vineyard does not disappoint with this beautiful, unusually layered and zesty single vineyard wine. The long lingering finish will keep you coming back glass after glass.

This Sauvignon Blanc opens on the nose with that bright, effervescent nose of white peaches, pears and a little honeydew melon. On the palate, there is a little spritz – by design – to deliver exceptional acid and flavors. In the mouth, the delightfully crisp acid marries with the white peaches, pears, honeydew, and a touch of ruby red grapefruit. This wine is so bright, bouncy and vibrant it craves music – honestly, grab some classic swing music and put your groove on with abandon and let loose!

About the Winemaker:
Vineyard:

Georges Vineyard, Napa, CA

About the Vineyard:
The ‘Good Earth’ tier celebrates specific vineyards that showcase a distinct style of a particular varietal unique to that vineyard site.  George Shank’s vineyard in Wooden Valley (Napa) has something in the soil that expresses such a beautiful assembly of flavors and textures it is hard to describe. It could be the clone in conjunction with the site, but the resulting white peach nectar, pear juice and red grapefruit aromas and flavors are hard to reproduce.
Additional Winemaker Notes:

The uniqueness of the vineyard shines through in this wine; no oak contact

Food Pairing Suggestions:
What a lively and zesty Sauvignon Blanc to pair with your favorite warm weather fare. The acidity goes incredibly well with many summer dishes. Salads, lighter fish and shell fish are perfect accompaniments, but it will also pair with chicken or turkey. Grilled vegetables pair extremely well. Try heirloom tomatoes, grilled artichokes and sautéed summer squash. Experiment with spicy food, as the acidity can temper the heat. Finally, pair with goat, feta and parmesan for a delightful complement of acidity and saltiness.
