Tasting Notes:

Honrama Cellars 2017 "El Potrillo" Nono's Blend Pinot Noir, North Coast, CA

With sunny, warm weather in full force and the plethora of outdoor activities on everyone’s agenda, it’s important to have that perfect summer-sipping red on hand! A pale ruby with flecks of pale garnet, this aromatic, fruit-driven beauty shows off sweet, fresh dark berry fruits – black plum, dark cherry – complimented by balanced layers of cinnamon vanilla toast, brown sugar ripe cranberry and a hint of leather. Silky and round, with spiced dark cherry cola, vanilla oak and a touch of earth on the mid-palate. The finish is delightfully refreshing, with a lightness I adore in a summertime red. Soft and silky with a lingering finish. Chill this in the fridge for about 15-20 minutes and… voilà!

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Pinot Noir tends to be quite a versatile wine for a range of food pairing ideas. Try this wine with pork, lamb, chicken or turkey. Meatier fish, lighter pasta dishes and vegetarian items are good matches. Cheeses such as aged Gouda, Gruyere, Cheddar and Parmesan are also excellent food partners.
