Tasting Notes:

With the holidays in the not too distant future, stock up on this wine gem so you're prepared. It's great for parties, pairs perfectly with a Thanksgiving meal and it might even make a great adult Halloween treat.

The essence of the Russian River Valley is released when a bottle of Hersly Wines Pinot Noir is uncorked. It will lure you into the glass with its ruby red translucence and inviting nose of black and red licorice. Appealing aromas are plentiful and continue with Bing cherries, red raspberries, spice and violets. Pleasing and stimulating flavors of fresh red cherries, pomegranates and cranberries along with white pepper, cinnamon and cola will enliven the taste buds and prepare for a soft, elegant finish.

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Pinot Noir from the famed Russian River Valley is extremely easy to pair with a wide range foods. Pair this wine with duck, lamb, chicken and turkey. Also try meatier fish, lighter pasta dishes and vegetarian items such as white pizza for a delightful combination. In addition, cheeses such as Edam, Gouda, Gruyere, light Cheddars and Chevre are excellent pairings. Fruit or nut based desserts are also good selections.
