Angel Bonus Offer
When you purchase the 2015 Greyscale Wines Merlot by the case (12 bottles), Greyscale Owners Jean and Larry Rowe cordially invite you and three guests to join them for a VIP wine tasting in St. Helena. Enjoy time to relax and taste through current Greyscale Wines' vintages and select Library wines during your next trip to the Napa Valley!
The 2015 Merlot was born out of Greyscale’s dream to create elegant, Bordeaux-style wine using premium California grapes. This is the second vintage we’ve featured on Cellar Angels, and it again overdelivers. The wine shows off a brilliant, nearly opaque deep ruby core and a rich, glass-coating viscosity. Enticing aromatics of fresh, ripe blackberry, red plum and cherry with notes of cinnamon spice, vanilla and soft, integrated oak. The palate is so beautifully silky, with juicy, dark fruit flavors, dark chocolate and bakeshop spices. Acidity and tannins are nicely balanced, with a soft tannic coating on the palate and a lingering, perfectly food-friendly finish.

A well-balanced, food-friendly wine, start (or end!) the evening with a cheese plate including a mix of aged cheddars, Manchego and Parmesan. Surprise and delight your dining companions with meat-based dishes like braised beef, lamb chops and duck breast. Roasted veggies like portobello mushroom and eggplant will work well too. On the grill, pair with salmon, burgers or sausages.
