Have you ever sat in a barrel room or kitchen and tasted with winery owners? It is an unforgettable experience. When you purchase this wine by the case (12 bottles), enjoy an intimate in-person wine tasting with the owners. Taste through current Greyscale Wines' vintages and select library wines. "Wine is neither black nor white. It’s always shades of grey.” ~Jean and Larry Rowe, Greyscale Founders

Tasting Notes:
This Right Bank Bordeaux-inspired wine slowly draws you in with teasing aromas of dark cherry, wild dark berry fruit, dried herbs, subtle notes of sweet vanilla oak and cinnamon spice and a faint touch of eucalyptus. On the palate, soft yet persistent tannins coat the tongue, with a touch of dark chocolate and a food-friendly acidity that compliments the consistent aromas on the finish. The wine evolves and further opens up the following day, drinking beautifully with rich, rounded and fully integrated aromas and flavors…if you somehow manage NOT to finish the bottle the night before :)

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Merlots are fairly versatile when it comes to food pairings and adaptable to wide range of dishes due to its smoother texture and tannins. This wine takes inspiration from the Right Bank of Bordeaux and will pair deliciously with grilled meats, roasted turkey or lamb, firm cheeses and dishes prepared with mushrooms, veal stock, mustard or tomato sauces and red wine reductions.
