The "dichotomy" name stuck when founders Brooks and Jessica began to see the contradictions associated with the wine and their wine endeavors. The first vintage of Dichotomy Pinot Noir was made with grapes from two completely different locations, one warm and one very cool. On a personal level, the name also pays homage to its owners. Jessica prefers white wine and Brooks leans towards reds. One final personal contrast perfectly suits the wine's name. Both Brooks and Jessica entered their careers as white collar office professionals in a big city, but found their passion as farmers now residing in rural Sonoma County. We're glad they did!
Beautifully light and bright ruby red in the glass, this Pinot Noir opens with fresh Bing cherry aromas. The palate is a permutation of luscious red fruits and warm vanilla leading to currants, violets and oak. Delicate with balanced acidity throughout, the finish is long and lingering.
