Tasting Notes:
In keeping with the mission to “rise above the fog”, Fogline brings us a wine from a location 1,200 feet above Dry Creek Valley. The bold intensity of mountain fruit creates a full bodied style and the red volcanic soils provide great structure to the wine. Aromas of blueberry and chocolate give way to a dark cherry flavor with balanced tannins, making this Zinfandel a delicious pairing with a plethora of foods.

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Zinfandel pairs well with most meats: pork, beef, lamb, sausage, ribs, brisket, duck, quail, pheasant, and chicken. Tomato based Italian dishes work well, along with chili, pizza, and hard/strong cheeses.
About the Winery
Fogline Vineyards Fogline Vineyards is located on the Northern ridge of Sonoma Mountain in the Petaluma Gap region at the edge of the Sonoma Coast Appellation, high above the Pacific Ocean. The winery’s goal is to make wines from fruit grown above the fog line. Vines at that elevation enjoy moderately hot days above the cool fog that blankets the valley below. Learn more
