Tasting Notes:
A delightfully lightweight wine, this will serve nicely as your summer red selection. I'm am constantly amazed by the quality to price ratio of the Elkhorn Peak Cellars wines. Here's another to stock up on.
Lovely pale ruby in color, its translucence indicates its weight and mouthfeel. The aromas of fresh red fruits, wet stone and rose petals are commanding, and the flavors to follow are alluring. The initial sip reveals red raspberries, currants and cranberry with subtle tannins. The acid has a balancing effect as the wine evolves with flavors of cola, green tea, farmyard and a hints of caraway seed. A walk through nature in a glass. I could drink this wine every day!

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Pinot Noir from a cool growing region like Jamieson Canyon in the southern part of Napa makes for an easy wine to pair with a wide range of dishes. Try it with duck, lamb, chicken, roasted turkey, salmon, lighter pasta dishes and white veggie pizza. Cheeses like Edam, Gouda, Brie, Gruyere, light Cheddars and Chèvre are excellent pairings. Fruit or nut based desserts are also good selections.
