Signed bottles! For every case (12 bottle) order, receive all bottles personally signed by winemaker and proprietor of D-Cubed Cellars, Duane Dappen.
Yes! We did it!! We spoke with proprietor, and longtime Cellar Angel friend Duane, to inquire if there were any of the 2008 remaining. He said "ten cases". We said "we want it all!" A 2008 Zin at this price, especially one from the 'Zin Master' was one of the easiest decisions ever. One taste and you'll understand why. With only a limited amount remaining, we're honored Duane Dappen agreed to let our members stock their cellars with this crowd-pleaser. You'll laugh all the way to the bank when friends asked what you paid.
Only 10 cases left!
With an intensely bright purple color and alluring fresh fruit aromas of cherry, plum and cranberry, this Zin will immediately capture you. The palate explodes from the glass like a rinsed bowl of freshly picked cherries on a summer morning. Full and balanced, the initial soothing candied fruit flavors soon reveal allspice, black pepper, and a seductive hint of vanilla. The finish lingers and satisfies with perfect medium tannins that will deftly cut through your grilled meats. In a word, "wow".
Duane Dappen is D-Cubed Cellars. And D-Cubed Cellar is Duane Dappen. He defines the quintessential small producer in every way. He named his winery for all the hats he wears and claims he needs to clone himself. But for all the work, Duane's passion for Zinfandel drives him to do what he does. What is that? To take America's heritage grape and make great wine that is approachable, food friendly and easily enjoyed with friends.
Duane's obsession with Zinfandel is rooted in his childhood. Growing up in wine country is exposure enough, but he was also very familiar with the grape because his parents loved and drank it often, claiming it was the best pairing for food and friendship.
Because of his deep passion for Zinfandel, Duane Dappen also sits on the board of ZAP - Zinfandel Advocates and Producers, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing public knowledge of and appreciation for American Zinfandel and its unique place in our culture and history.
