Tasting Notes:

It always amazes the team here at Cellar Angels that Cabernet Sauvignon lovers don't choose Syrah more. The taste profile is a perfect match; big, bold, fruit forward with plenty of tannin. Maybe this is the wine to entice those out of their comfort zone. There is an amazing world of Syrah out there.

You won't be disappointed by this Syrah, opaque blackberry in color with blueberry and pepper notes on the nose. The flavors are plentiful; blackberries, plum, boysenberry, tart cherry, black pepper, black licorice and Eucalyptus. It finishes with medium plus tannins and shows great acidity, making it a food pairing wine. Allow it to decant for a bit to allow the fruit flavors to come through.

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Lamb, pork, sausage, grilled meats, stews, and game will all pair beautifully with this wine. Dishes with black olives, black pepper, pungent herbs, and mushrooms will also complement nicely. Look for recipes where power is combined with elegance to mirror this wine’s style.
