Tasting Notes:

Set in the heart of the Napa Valley, right off Highway 29, is a unique location exemplifying everything "wine country". From picnics to restaurants, from wine store to cave tours and from tasting room to barrel room, this "estate" invites visitors to the Napa Valley lifestyle. Also noteworthy and significant is the co-winemaker at Brasswood Estate, Angelina Mondavi, a fourth-generation winemaker of the famed Mondavi family. Cellar Angels members receive rare and exclusive access to this new release.

In the glass, the wine is a hue of ruby with a purple core. A bouquet of blackberry tapenade, roasted huckleberry and raspberry leaf lift from the rim. The palate is full and complex fortified with French oak forming a backbone of baking spices and cassis liquors from a youthful blend of cool vineyard fruit.

Food Pairing Suggestions:
Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the six noble grapes and considered "king" in the Napa Valley. A king's dinner may be just the perfect meal to stand up to the majesty of this considerable wine. Pair with balsamic marinated rib eye steak, slow cooked braised short ribs or Châteaubriand. On the lighter side, but still hearty enough to stand up to such impressive Cabernet flavors, complement the wine with truffle risotto with Portobello mushrooms, charred gruyere bison burger or wild mushroom stroganoff. Enjoy your royal meal!
