Upon opening, you may notice some crystallization (tartrates). This is a positive thing, and indicates a high quality bottle of wine. While the sediment is completely harmless and can actually add to the flavor and texture of a wine, consider decanting before drinking to filter it out if preferred.
This wine’s luxurious, nearly opaque deep garnet color shines bright in the glass. It has a balanced freshness on the nose, showing off deep cherry, blackberry and raspberry fruit notes with a well-integrated bouquet of chocolate, sweet cinnamon toast, lavender, oregano, vanilla and subtle bell pepper. Such a silky mouthfeel on this medium/full-bodied wine, with fine, coating tannins and prominent, yet balanced acidity. Long and enjoyable on the finish, this wine is drinking beautifully now but has the capacity to age gracefully over the next 10+ years."
