World Class Wines of Knights Valley, Sonoma | Knights Bridge WineryPublished by Carrie Schuster on Sat, 07/29/2017 - 14:06
In 2006, several close-knit family members discovered 50 acres of hillside vineyards in Knights Valley, the perfect spot to produce exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Knights Bridge vineyard is nestled on the pristine west side of Knights Valley, the warmest appellation in Sonoma County. It was here that the family decided to create Knights Bridge Winery with the singular goal of producing world class wines.
Joining on their quest is a group of talented professionals, all striving together in the pursuit of excellence, from sustainable farming methods and small-lot wine production, to unique tasting experiences. Our winery is guided by a deep respect for nature, a passion for fine wines, and a dedication to family and friends.
Rising from 300 to 900 feet in elevation, the vineyard overlooks a spectacular display of rolling hills, rugged mountains and the lush valley floor, which in summer is often blanketed with morning fog. Knights Valley is a narrow valley situated between the Mayacamas mountain range, the geological border between Sonoma and Napa Counties, and Mount St. Helena to the east. As the easternmost appellation in Sonoma County, it is one of the five original Sonoma County AVA’s and is known for warms days and cool nights. Blessed with mineral-rich, well-drained volcanic soils, and its exceptional climate, Knights Valley is considered one of the most unique wine growing regions in the world, known for producing celebrated Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.
At Knights Bridge, we believe that a healthy vineyard is the foundation of superior wines. Our minimally disruptive farming practices are designed to preserve the natural resources and bounty of our environment for future generations. Respecting nature and utilizing state-of-the-art farming techniques, we bring out the best in our soils, vines, and ultimately our wines. Our commitment to these practices was recognized in 2011 when we were certified by the California Sustainable Winemaking Alliance. As we continue producing superior quality wines, we are dedicated to evolving our sustainable winegrowing practices in order to preserve and improve our environment.
We invite you to bring our wines into your home. United in our quest for excellence, a deep respect for nature and in an abiding love of wine and food, our passion is to share the bounty of the Knights Bridge vineyard. Join us as we gather around the table to celebrate friendship, family and the promise of great vintages to come.
